Day 1: Nairobi – Meru National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, driving through the
scenic central highlands with views of Mt. Kenya on a clear day. You’ll arrive at Meru
National Park in time for lunch at your lodge or camp, followed by a short rest. In the
afternoon, enjoy your first game drive exploring this lush and less-crowded park, known
for its diverse landscapes, rivers, and wildlife including elephants, lions, reticulated
giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, and the elusive leopard. Return to your lodge for dinner and
overnight, surrounded by the serene sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 2: Full Day in Meru National Park
After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive or two extended drives—morning
and afternoon—exploring different parts of Meru National Park. The park offers a
remarkable variety of habitats, from savannahs and riverine forests to swampy areas. Visit
the historic site of Elsa’s Kopje, made famous by George and Joy Adamson’s story of “Born
Free,” and enjoy picnic lunch at one of the scenic viewpoints. You may also spot rhinos at
the park’s rhino sanctuary or hippos along the Tana River. Return to your lodge in the
evening for dinner and overnight under the stars.

Day 3: Meru National Park – Nairobi
After breakfast, enjoy an optional early morning game drive to catch a final glimpse of the
wildlife as the park awakens. Later, depart from Meru National Park and begin your drive
back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Drop-off at your hotel or the airport marks the
end of your 3-day Meru adventure, filled with unforgettable wildlife encounters and
natural beauty.
